Access is via Thornton le Dale on the A170 Helmsley to
Scarborough road. At the crossroads at centre of Thornton le Dale,
following the brown tourist signs for Dalby Forest, turn north up
Whitbygate. Once in the forest, follow the forest drive past the toll
and Haygate viewpoint, and down the hill towards the hamlet of Dalby
towards the new Dalby Forest Visitor Centre, just before the Go Ape
experience. Nutwood is on your left in the valley, overlooking the
grassland around the local beck. There is ample parking on the drive for
your car. Simply call at the bungalow to announce your arrival. The
